Tikka M65
I searched "Tikka" and found lots of things about the model T3 and some on "Continental" but nothing about an "M65".
I have a chance to buy an "M65" in 6.5X55 from a friend. He tells me it has a 20 inch barrel and is a "real shooter". I have not seen it and he is a long way off in another Province. It comes with a 2 to 8 power scope, dies and some reloads. He'd like $800.00 Canadian for it. He bought it for his daughter who now has no interest in hunting. He has handloaded 100gr. and 140 gr. bullets for it and he shot a mule deer doe with it just to test it out for himself. I want it to replace a Rem. 788 in .243 that my son and daughter have been using.
Anyone have this model? How do you like it? Any thoughts?

Are you sure it's not a M695? Because that's all I know about personally.... That's the Whitetail Hunter model that I've been raving about on multiple forums - the action is as slick as greased butter, and mine shot .75 inch groups out of the box.
