I read most of the comments on that site.Remington better wake up.I'll stick with my 30 year old 1100 and my trusty 870.A guy at work bought one of these 11-87 jewels a few months ago. He'll hear about these problems when I see him tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up.

Ruger...I also have an 1100 made in the 60's and I wouldn't trade it for a brand new 11-87.

If Rem doesn't remove their heads from their rectum's...they're going to be known as the Yugo of the gun-making world.

A few bad eggs can be expected...when SEVERAL are bad, the chicken needs its head chopped off. In my opinion, Savage is doing what Rem wants to do...building a quality gun for a reasonable price. Rem seems to be forgetting the quality part.

Pro-Line I bought my 1100 back in 1973 if I remember correctly. It was a whopping 159.00. It had a plain bbl. I managed to swap the bbl to a gun shop just paying the difference between the VR and plain. I hate say it but Remington has their head stuck so far up they'll never see the light again. If they turn out many more products like the 710,597 and now the 11-87 their time will be short lived. They're living on barrowed time already. They were in financial difficulties a few years back.To me customer service means allot. Sounds like Remington's CS is as bad a Polaris's CS is.Just for that reason alone I'll never buy another Polaris 4 wheeler or another Remington.I like my Polaris but when you have no customer support it's a losing proposition.Ruger and T/C have the best customer service I've ever dealt with.

Sounds like Remington wanted to quickly jump on the 3.5" magnum bandwagon without actually testing their products.[:@]

Hey Ruger Redhawk,

I bought a new Rem. 597 in 22win mag. a couple years ago, and it NEVER jams, and is quite accurate. I'm wondering what you have against 597's?

I'm not flameing you, i'm just wondering why you don't like them? Is there a lot of problems with them i haven't heard about???

Get a new Mossberg 935 magnum and you'll never have a complaint.

Yep i 've seen 11-87's break like that.
Remington is cutting there own throats with poor quality and high price's! now i love my remingtons that i own now but would hesitate before buying any new ones.
Remingtons prices have soared through the roof and quality have gone through the floor. I sure hope they can whoever is making decisions at remington before it's to late. kind of like S&W ...i still won't buy one !!!!!

I tell you i have played with charles daly stuff and kind am thinking about one. my buddy loves them and they are half the price of a pot metal remington!
