S.S. Don't overlook the .270 Winchester.It's a great deer cartridge.Strictly for deer I would take a .270.For bigger game I would go with a 30-06 or 7mm Rem Mag.The Browning "A Bolt" is a fine rifle.

I own 3 a-bolt rifles and I love em. I love the 60deg bolt throw. The bolt doesn't get anywhere near your scope.

For deer only a 25-06 is plenty .If larger game are a possibility, I would go with the 7mmremmag.As far as rifles I do not like the browning magazine assembly or tang safety.

Nice rifles. In stainless models they're pricey...but good quality!

Good luck.

I don't believe Browning has rifle packages, Save up and buy a good scope instead of the low end scopes.
