Default Tikka Whitetail Hunter - Bedded?

I am considering a Tikka Whitetail Hunter (lefty) and know the barrel is floated. Is the action bedded? Thanks...Back40

Default RE: Tikka Whitetail Hunter - Bedded?

Not really. They do have pillars in the stock, but it is not bedded. Doesn't need to be either. Bedding is usually a way to increase the accuracy of a non-bedded firearm (though it doesn't guarantee an improvement) and it will be tough to improve the accuracy of the Tikka. The wood stock (not laminated) is about the only one I'd even worry about bedding, just in case of moisture warping.
