Default scope issues

I' m using a Tasco World Class 4-12x40 (I know, I know, but a new scope isn' t in the budget for this year.) Despite the company' s reputation, this scope has been fine -- most of the time. The problem is that if I' m hunting an open area, at the key hunting times of dawn and dusk, the scope catches a glare that makes it unusable at any power higher than 4. A better scope is on the shopping list for the future, but until then, does anyone have a quick fix to help me out? Thanks.

If the scope is able to except a sunshade, try that.

I have had great service from Tasco world class scopes. If you can' t find a sunshade you could make one to get you by.
