If you had to compare the recoil of an average weight 12ga slug gun to a rifle, what rifle would be similar. My buddy feels that the slug gun kicks way more than a 300 Weatherby Mag. I' m really not sure as I don' t use slugs very often. Are they more like a 375?
I would say a 338Win Mag shotting greater than 220gr bullets. Especially if you shoot 3" mag remington copper solids. With that I would say 338RUM. All my 300RUM' s don' t kick near as bad as my 870 shooting Remington mag copper solids.
