Ever shot a Howa? If you have then you have basically shot a weatherby vanguard. Pretty much the same rifle with different branding. I've got a few old Mark V's that are among the best shooting rifles I own that are factory original. I think one of them is a cheat though. I bought it off a guy that SAYS it's how it came to him brand new but I think it was one of Roy's custom jobs and the guy didn't know. It's one of his 7mm WMAG rifles and you can cover a 5 shot group at 200 yards with a dime.

You know why Kansas is so flat, don't ya? We got tired of all those hills gettin in our way when we wanted to shoot long range so we plowed them all down flat to make room to practice!

the creed is nothing new, its a reincarnation of the 6.5/250 savage AI, the rifle you buy is as good as the barrel screwed on it. alotta hype drivin sales but it offers no real advantage other than 1/2 decent ammo being offered for it.

Y'all know I'm partial to handguns.

And just so you know, I'm from West Tennessee. Except for the floodplains, it's pretty even terrain here. Walking upstairs is the most severe change in elevation I typically encounter in a given day.

I believe in accuracy, so shooting sub MOA (from a bench) with factory ammo is mandatory !

Trying to maintain MOA, as you stretch out the distance is the question ?!?!

Yes, the Vanguard is essentially a Howa 1500, but that doesn't detract from the fact that it's a pretty good rifle for the money. And for what the OP wants, the 6.5 Creedmoor in that platform will be more than adequate.
