Very true, I am not making any friends. Guess it is just best to leave it alone. But, high and drunk are 2 different things. I would just like to know what some's reaction is going to be when it is legal in Michigan. I am hoping that a person does not have to submit to a urinalysis test before buying a weapon. Besides, I am limited as to what I can do because of my pain management doctor.

I do deeply apologies to all members on the forum. I would rather be friend than foe.

Now....Rapid River, I spent 3 years in Escanaba at Bay College to get my degree. I loved that area with the lake right there. I lived in Perronville for 2 years. I would leave for school in the morning and in the evening coming home I seen some beautiful bucks in the area.

I don't think so Uncle Matt. I was considering at that time to get a mate in 5.56 for my DPMS AR 10. It was a DPMS Oracle for $550.00 on sale. The local stores have been trying to compete somewhat after Cabela's came around, maybe at Scheels later. BTW, that avatar of yours makes me hurt just looking at it.

A larger and more important question is will we be able to even buy that weapon with the current political climate and expected winner.

Very true Champlain Islander. Guess the best bet is to get your guns of choice before the election. At least that way there you already have them. I don't really think they will take away any guns, but, the assault weapon ban will surely come up. When Bill Clinton signed the one that he did in the 90's, the one's already owned were grandfathered in. Hold on to what AR's a person has because the price will double on the private market for them.

And yet ANOTHER reason for reloading!!! I have enough components and powder to last me the rest of me life if need be. (I'm old so probably more than enough)

Yeah one of my hunting buds reloads for several calibers. He buys all the components in bulk and has enough powder to make a bombmaker blush but said last time around he couldn't replenish his supplies on a lot of different things. He still had more than a lifetime of stuff but worried he could run out.

Rapid River is on the north east shore of Little Bay DeNoc. We launch the boat at hunters point launch. Getting the boat in isn't bad and lots of parking in the lot. A dock would be nice how ever.

I always liked the small gun shops my self, never cared for the box stores, consider Wally world better than the box stores.

Used to be a nice place in the Ludington plaza for buying firearms and reloading supplies. They closed about 2001.
GM Marquette put them out.

Quick update:
Contacted Cabelas about my experience. They are in the process of investigating the situation after I wrote and told them about my experience. They told me regardless of alcohol on my breath they had no reason to shame me like they did in front of people. So will see what happens I guess. Guess they are not allowed to blurt it out so loud that all can hear, and make me stand at the counter for 15 minutes, and keep telling me I will be right there.
