S&w 5906
I have been to the friendly gunshop and bought a S&W 5906. The serial number is TEA 72xx. Does anyone know when this gun was made? Seems to be a decent firearm, stainless, adjustable sights and not in bad shape. It does have the funky looking looong triggerguard tho. Interior is excellent, exterior--not so much, it has been carried a lot. Probably ex-police. Thanks.

i'm not sure on the age but i have owned many of the s&w's from that time frame they were all good gun's models 1006,645,4003,41 can't remember all but the 645 was my favorite but got rid of it when i bought my kimber. you will be happy with it !

And after looking around some more, I find that S&W has customer service at 800-331-0852 ext 4125. I called them up with the serial number and model, they told me that my gun was shipped in March of 1990 to a wholesale outfit in Ohio. I do admire S&W for providing that service for free. I am going to have to quit researching and do some shooting!
