Default Sightron Rifle Scopes

Can anyone offer any information on Sightron Rifle Scopes? I have used other scopes like leupold, swift, etc., I am not interested in their products. However I am interested in the Sightron SII Tactical 4-16x42mm /w the Mil Dot reticle for my .300 Weatherby Mag. I have not heard any negative feedback for the Sightron line of rifle scopes. The feedback I have heard was that Sightron Rifle Scopes were crystal clear and that they did not lose POI, they were even compared with the Leupold line and some said that the better models of Sightron were slightly better (like the tactical scope I am looking at). Also, the only place on the web that I could find to purchase this rifle scope was at MidwayUSA.com. There it list for $398.75, is there anywhere else i could find a better price? Just wondering if anyone can offer any educational information on them, and yes I have been to their web sight at Sightron.com. Thank You.

I bought a Sightron this year. I am very happy with it so far. It is very clear and has great eye relief. I' d heard alot of good things about them as well, so I figured I' d take a chance on one. I put it on my inline m/l and it seems to be working well.

Ok, today I broke down and made the long distance call from Florida to North Carolina where Sightron Rifle Scopes are made. I spoke with the manufacturing manager of the plant. According to him, he gauruntees that his Sightron Scopes are as clear or clearer than Leupolds. He also said that they provide 3 1/2" to 4" ' s of eye relief and will not lose POI. I asked him about mounting them on larger caliber rifles and he said Sightron Rifle Scopes are tested on larger caliber rifles, such as the Weatherby Magnum line. Also, he said they have their lifetime warranty. If you have any problems with them, send them back...they will not fix it, but replace it with a brand new one of the same model. I asked him how many get returned due to malfunctions and he said less than 1%. With this in mind, I plan on purchasing one on MidwayUSA.com this Friday. I guess I' ll try it out and let all of you know how it works.
