Default 30-06 Smith & Wesson Rifle????

A friend of mines brother has a Smith and Wesson 30-06 rifle for sale. From what I have found out this was made by a company called Husqvarna. Does anyone know anything about this company? Is this a good rifle? He wants $600.00 for it???

I have never shot one of those, don' t know much about them. I know that Husqvarna makes (or made) motorcycles too, so maybe use caution that it was a venture that did not last long for a reason. As for me, I would take the $600 and buy that Yellowboy you were talking about! Good luck man, let us know what you decide.

Thanks bigbore!!! The Yellowboy is a diffent!!! The Smith was just a curious question since I have never heard about them. I wonder if when it shoots if it sounds like a Harley or a honda!!

Loghead what I have heard is they are good guns, problem is they are very, very exspensive to fix.Hard to find parts and such if needed.

They are nice looking guns but they are not worth the money he is asking,I can find them here in Montana on the used racks for 300-350 dollars near new condition.I have asked why so cheap for the guns and they all tell me the same, hard to fix and exspensive.
hope this helps BBJ

I agree... $600 is too much money... you should be able to find a quality 30-06 for well under that... go to local gun shops and see what they got...

Yes! Find that Yellowboy. That will be a sweet deer rifle, and an equally cool target shooter. Keep us informed.

I must also agree that 600.00 is way out of line. A friend of mine has one in .270,it shoots good and handles nice but not for 6 bills.
