I think alleyyooper gave you some good advice. I haven't seen many bigbox stores with any rimfire ammo in quite a few years but the smaller mom and pops all seem to have a little from time to time.

So I'm not driving there every day at store opening to check. Both have big signs on the gun counter that says...."No .22LR Ammo today".

I probably have enough Mini Mags for the next few months. What I desire next are the CCI Stingers or CCI Segmented in 32 grain. It's for a Smith & Wesson .22 pistol. I have a hunch it will not cycle the 40 grain versions well, from my magazine to chamber.
I didn't drive to them either, simply put an order in and waited for it to show up...

Not sure of why the discrepancy but I never see any in stores like Walmart, Dick's has some every once in a while and when they do they are the sub-sonics (which I like for squirrel hunting). But nearly all mom and pop shops around here have .22lr and one even had the .22 shorts. The problem with some of the mom and pop shops around here is they are have the prices up higher then they should be but hey, they are in a business and a fool and his money are easily parted.

If you notice, I list what state I am from. You do not.
There is no method to place a back-order for out-of-stock .22lr ammo here at our local Michigan Cabelas. The page that exists for CCI (for instance) states....This item is not available on our On-Line Store at this time.

I will assume you live in North Carolina. But those first two letters of your listed screen name, could represent your real first & last name.
