Default JG Anschultz

I have a very old rifle made by JG Anschultz. Caliber is 8,15 x 46 Not sure of model or serial number, it has a monte carlo stock, octagon barrel, and 2 triggers, it is a single shot. it has 5387 engraved on the side of gun, it has an engraved scene on one side of a stag deer and a hound type dog on the other. Very nice condition. Would like to know more about this gun and appoximate value of it. Photos available.
Thanks for any help you can give.
Brian

It is JG Anschutz, no L in the name. The Anschutz is a well made rifle, used a lot in competition.

thanks for the correction, I've read about them being used in the Olympic games for competition. This one is certainly a hunting rifle.
Thanks for the reply....

No reflection on you personally, but I do not send my e-mail address out on the net or to folks I don't know.

I understand, I actually meant what email for this web site will forward my photos to this forum not your personal email.
Thanks and hopefully the photos will be on here soon.

PS the one email that contained photos you referred too wasn't mine so you were right not opening it.

My sources tell me it is worth about $12. Where would you like me to send the check?

LOL. It's likely a well made rifle but obviously not well known or popular around here. Perhaps you can look on GunBroker: GunsAmerica; etc. for comparables.
