Where can I find 7.62x54r in something other than FMJ?

Just curious if there is anything out there other than FMJ? I noticed Winchester makes a round, but its FMJ. Other than that, all i find are surplus rounds. I thought I might pull out a rifle this year for deer season ( I always bow hunt) and thought I would try the old Mosin in the safe.

Yes, just do a quick google search for 7.62 x 54r in SP, SST, or soft points.

Prvi Partizan, Wolf, Brown Bear and Hornady make them.

I've shot the Hornady SST's and they shot well out of my M44, but I never did take game with them.

Let me know how it goes, I plan to take mine out later this season.

Sportsman's guide has numerous soft point options. I've bought from there.

I bought some Winchester 180s a few years ago for 7.62x54r..just to get some brass. I think S&B makes 'em too.

Just bought several boxes from Cabelas in Columbus, OH. Try some of the bigger stores. Usually seems hit and miss when looking for hunting rounds for the nagant.
