Default Savage Striker Series????????

Anyone had any experience with is series?? what other companies make a pistol like this?? I need something like this due to a physical problem. Just cant carry a long heavier rifle anymore. And what caliber would be the best for whitetails????

Cardeer, Check www.savagearms.com. It lists all the calibers the Striker is available in.I think the 7mm08 would be a good cartridge for it.Remington at one time made a similar gun called the XP100. I don' t think they make them any longer.

Not only dose savage make one,I think weatherby,and the older XP modle remingtons.
Also check out Thomson/Center Encors and the Strike series by Magnum Reaserch the makes of the BFR handguns.

I agree with Ruger on the 7mm-08, makes for a great pistol round. I like the Savage Striker, have one rimfire and one centerfire. Only problem I have with the pistol is the trigger, that' s an easy fix though, there are a couple aftermarket triggers for the gun for around $60-$70.

I do like the Encore pistol better though. Granted I' m a little biased, I love T/C. I like the interchangable barrels, gives you lot' s of room to grow and mix it up.
