Hey guys. I have a question that I hope you guys can answer. I live in New Jersey, but hunt and shoot in New York. I recently purchased a handgun in Jersey, but I would like to bring it to NY to shoot and hunt with. Do any of you guys know whatthe law says about that? Well, hopefully you guys know better than I do. Thanks.
That' s one question I wouldn' t attemp to answer. As screwed up as New York is in general and their ridiculous guns laws it' s no telling what' s legal and what' s not.I would check with NJ and NY' s States attorney' s office and see what information they can give you.Being it' s a handgun you might be asking for trouble taking it in NY.Of course NJ isn' t much better.

The page has been down due to the hurricane, but it was just working for me. Great place to find information on carrying handguns in your state and other states. Good luck!

The NRA can give you some guidelines to go by.They won' t give you legal advice and will tell you check with the local arthorities if I remember correctly.

When I am traveling to another state I always call the state police in that stae and any other states I may cross and make sure what the laws are. I won,t give some liberal states attourney the joy of socking it to me. They like to ration our right out to us as they see fit.[:@]
I have no ideout the laws in the Yankee states, but I have a good idea. Move to out west, we will construct a large saw and cut California and New York right off of the lower forty eight, then we will assemble a large group of people to help us give them a push into their respective oceans [>:]
