Default Rem 11-87 problem with pic.

Alright anyone know why this is jamming? Its a lefty rem 11-87. These are new shells never shot them before so maybe thats it? They are winchester shells 3" steel. This is with the duck plug in and its only the third shell that is jamming. As you can see its jsut holding the shell there in the tub and its pressed against that piece. A bit of forward presure ( into the tub) and the shell pops out and will cycle through.
Any Idea' s?

Default RE: Rem 11-87 problem with pic.

I would check the magazine tube spring, plunger/follower, and plug, to ensure that they are installed correctly. I have seen that many times they are not installed correctly.

That thing that you appear to have your thumb on, is the Carrier. The thing to the lower right of your thumb (with the hole in it) is the Interceptor (some call it the cartridge cut-off). If it was jamming erratically or on every round, this would be a place to start looking for problems. Since your problem is with the last round in the magazine tube not feeding, I would start with the magazine tube assembly.
