Default Is the Ruger M77V/T Mk II trigger adjustable?

I would like to know if the 2-stage " target" factory trigger on the Ruger M77 Varmint/Target Mk II rifle can be adjusted by a ' smith without permanently modifying the trigger mechanism (grinding, filing, etc..., well polishing would be OK I think, but no drastic changes). I like the 2-stage trigger design fine, but the second stage seems a little heavy with noticable creep that I know is affecting the accuracy of the rifle.

I' d like to have it set for about 1.5-2lbs pull with almost no creep other than the first stage take-up.

Also, if it is adjustable, how much should I expect to pay a gunsmith to do the tune-up?

Thanks,

Mike

yes it is adjustable but by a gunsmith. i own a m77mk11 in a .220 swift and i love it . i had the trigger adjusted to 4lbs / 2lbs on the two stage. it cost me 35.00 to have mine done and i am very pleased with the preformace of it . smooth as silk and very accurate
