Default i really need some help with my scope

i have a nikon buckmaster and i just put it on my muzzle loader and i have a bore sighter i put it on and adjusted my scope but when i adjusted it the scope was to far to the right so i assumed to move it to the left to line it up but that only moved it farther out so i had to move it to the right to get it lined up so is this how its supposed to be. maybe i' m confused but that seems backwards to me what do you guys think

When you say you moved your scope to the left, do you mean you turned the wideage adjustment to the left or are you talking about physically moving the scope via the mounting system? Did you shoot the rifle to verify this or just rely on the boresighter? I wouldn' t use any boresighting system for anything other than rough zeroing. You' ve got to shoot the rifle to know where it' s actually at.

Just get it lined up and don' t worry about which direction you had to turn it.

Once you' re shooting however almost every scope I' ve ever owned required that if your groups are to the left of bull, you turn the scope to the right.

Bore sighting might be opposite.....
