RE: Missouri Senate Overturns Gov. Holden' s Veto!!!
That' s great news coming from Missouri. It' s long overdue. I suggest those in Missouri remember these Senators who voted for it on election day. These are one' s to keep in office. Then make every effort to get your Governor out of office.I do hope they reciprocate other states CCW' s.I believe MO. makes somewhere around 35 states now with CCW' s.I sure wish CCW' s were honored in all 50 states like our drivers licenses are.Hopefully one day they will be.

I have been on cloud 9 ever since they ovrerrode his vetoes, Not knowing if I will ever carry a concealed weapon but knowing I can if I want or need to is great, and its a good feeling to know that we still have some politicians with some common sense and knows in part anyway of what out constitution says.
I ran into several liberal democrats yesterday that just absolutely could' nt believe what had happened, man you ought to of heard them, they went to ranting and raveing about how every nut in Mo now would be carrying a concealed weapon, I asked them just what kept those nuts from carrying a concealed weapon before, they could' nt give me an answer.

Thanks F4YG, I like your number better.Only 14 more states to go.Little by little we' re chipping away at them.I don' t think that all states will ever get this right. It took the poor souls in Missouri a few tries to get this right.Thankfully the Senate there has more sense then their Governor. Now if it could only move across the state line into Illinois. That would be a big achievement in a Anti Gun State like Illinois.NY well that' s another story.
Strut, I' m sure once you carry a few times it will become part of your attire. You' ll feel naked without it.Use a small gun,and you won' t even realize you have it on. Except for going to work, When my pants go on the gun goes on.

And once again, good sense prevails! I' m glad that the MO congress told that commie Holden to stick his veto you know where. As much as he' s been overruled lately I' m guessing it' s only a matter of time before he' s invited to join the U.S. 9th District Court of Appeals! [>:][:' (]
One thing' s for sure, MO will become a safer state to live in now that the peaceful citizens can arm themselves against the armed thugs that have until now preyed freely on them.
I just hope that this idea finally rubs off onto the socialists running the Iowa legislature. Our current CCW law is " may issue" , with the final say resting with the arbitrary policy and judgement of each county sheriff, and each sheriff can place whatever restrictions on the permit that he wants (it could say that you can only carry on the second Tuesday of the odd numbered months, except during a leap year, and that' s the ONLY times you could legally carry. Otherwise you' d be an instant felon). If our local sheriff happens to be a gun-grabbing liberal (which he is) then you have no hope, but if he' s pro-gun rights he can issue you a permit that' s valid statewide, even in the counties where no permits are issued. There is no equal protection under this law. For instance, if one trys to get a private CCW permit in Johnson or Linn county (where I live), and they' re wasting their time. But if one moves 20 miles west to Iowa or Benton County, the sheriffs there are basically " shall issue." But if one gets a permit from the Iowa County sheriff it' s valid in Linn and Johnson County, and everywhere else in the state.
CCW was again on the list for consideration this last session, but like so many other bills, it didn' t get on the final list for consideration this year so it has to wait until next year at the earliest. Only time will tell.
I wish I could move out of Iowa. People seem to be convinced that the midwest is the last bastion of " American Values," when in fact most of the midwest states are more liberal than their western and southern counterparts.
