Default REM 742

I was cleaning out the gas port and took out the allen head that has a ball the size of a BB. Do you tighten it back all the way or was it preset from the factory? Also has anyone done a trigger job on one of these. Thanks

Becareful you don' t break or lose any parts.Parts for the 742 are getting scarce. Remington doesn' t have them anymore. You' ll have to go through a parts house that carries Remington' s obsolete parts.Remington will send you a list of dealers who MAY have parts if needed.Hope you get it straightened out.
