Default Browning Gold - Barrels/Chokes

I now own two Browning Gold Hunters - Love em. I want to use one of them for deer hunting this year. Will a Gold Deer Hunter, rifled barrel work on my Gold Hunter? Should I use the money I would spend for the rifled barrel and buy a low priced slug gun? What about a rifled choke tube? Anyone with any helpful hints?

Default RE: Browning Gold - Barrels/Chokes

I got that cantilever scoped barrel you are talking about. I love the gun. Very accurate. But your right, those barrels are 406 dollars and 300 dollars for a smoothbore. It depends really what you want. I had the other decision to make. I have the deer hunter and wondered about buying the smoothbore for my duckhunting. I decided just to use my 1187 for bird and use the browning only for deer.
