Depends on what your gun likes, I find that factory loads can vary greatly. From my experience Federal and Hornady custom are about the most consistant. You' ll probably do best with 150 gr loads from either

whatever shoots best in your gun. Any Federal, Remington, Winchester or anybody' s 150, 165, or 180 grain is fine for deer.

Take the advice of the other guys and try several different brands. The 165 grain seems to be the most popular for deer sized game around here.

If they shoot well in your gun, I like the winchester silvertip in 150 grain. I have used them a lot in several calibers and they always work well. When I roll my own I use 150 grain nosler ballistic tips.

i personally like the 165gr. for deer. my browning medallion in 30-06sprg likes 165gr. sierra gameking' s . but on the other hand my browning BAR safari likes 180gr. rem -core-lokt' s.

good luck
