True, but going price for used gun and scope is $500.00 and up.

Yup. If it was rifle only. Scope is approx. $160.00 value. Replaced the Bushnel that came with it.

Imho unless you get up to high end scopes a scope will only add about 40-50 dollars to the value. You may be ahead to keep your scope and sell bare gun. Just my 2cents
