Default 6.8 rem bullets

Anyone have much experience with the 6.8mm rem? Anyone hunted deer with this caliber? Thanks!

I have a 6.8 mm for my encore. I've shot both deer and hogs with it without any problems. haven't had any oppertunities to shoot one past 175 yds or so, but it'll put em on the ground. Only draw back is variety of ammo available. remington seems to be the only major manufacturer to offer more than 1 grain or bullet type. Good luck.
