Default Picked up a new gun today!

I have been looking for quite some time trying to find a good deal on a compact 1911. Those that were on the list of what I wanted were:
Colt Defender
Kimber Ultra Carry
Para Slim Hawg
Springfield Armory Micro Compact

Today it finally worked out! I am the proud owner of a Colt Defender in .45 (which was the only round I was looking for in this gun)! I had just about narrowed it down to the Colt and Kimber, and was just waiting for the right deal to roll around. Boy, am I glad it finally did!

Congrats. Looks like the bugs nuts to me. What does it weigh? Got any leather yet?

It weighs 22.5 ounces with an empty clip. no leather yet. Using an old fobus paddle holster as of now. It is the cheapest holster I have at all, other than a pocket holster for my .380, but I actually like it quite a bit! Have looked at some leather, but haven't found any that I liked as much as the fobus yet. The search will continue, however.

I do plan to get a shoulder harness once the cooler months come around. Most likely will go with Galco...that is the only one I have tried that didn't feel completely uncomfortable right from the start. Probably one of those things where you get used to it and don't notice it anymore though.

Thanks everyone! I believe it to be the bugs nuts as well! Handles well, shoots well, carries well and looks great...what more could I want?
