hello. i am in the market for another ar. i am rather new to the ar style. i already own a colt sp-1 w/ 24" bbl. i am leaning twards a dpms flattop in either 243win. or 308win.
it would be used as a hunting rifle for deer and the occasional black bear also coyote hunting. mostly when still hunting up mountains. shots are usually under 50yds for me. but in some clearcuts, logging slashes, where shots can get to 300yds. can u do more with the 243win lower than a 308win ? how is the kick on the 308win compared to another bolt action or traditional gun?
