Default Sako Rifle

I just found a pretty nice Sako L61R Finbear serial # 5176 in 3006. It has been hunted, but looks pretty clean. Asking price is $500.00. What do you guys think? It seems like a good deal to me.

The older Sako models are my favorites. This is a reasonable price for this model.

Buy it! I've got 2, one in .243 and the other in 30-06, and I wouldn't take 2 or 3 times that much for either of them!!! The .243 in particular is a tack driver!

If I were interested and it fit me I wouldn't think twice. Good deal on a great action/rifle.

I would check the rifling and the crown.

Congratulations !

I hope you got a shooter.

Now it's time for a "deep"cleaning.

Good luck at the range !!!

Yeah, that was a good price. I don't see many of the old Sakos out there in good condition at a good price which should tell you something. I have a Sako L691 in 300 WBY which would be the last gun that I would give up. I would love to find an L591 in 30-06 or 270.

I have been told they are like candy. It is hard to stop with just one! You are right about the deep cleaning Sheridan. Seventeen blue patches and counting, but I already love this gun! Next for the Conquest scope!
