Default remington 760

looking at purchasing a remington 760 in 30-06. does anyone have any info on the accuracy of these guns at 300yds? i will be using the gun primarily for whitetails here in the east mostly in heavily wooded areas, but would also like to use it if the opportunity comes along for elk or mule deer and don't want to purchase two guns.

Default Remington 760

The 760 in 30-06 will do just fine out to 300yds. They are as accurate as a lot of bolt actions and some will shoot 1" at 100yds. I picked up a 7600 in 30-06 last spring, which is almost the same but newer, mine was a early 7600. I shot one buck at 60' and another at 375yds. You will like the quick follow up shot with the pump. I've shot bolts all my life in 243,270 and 270wsm,and wished I had gone to a pump way before now!!! You won't go wrong buying one. Zeak
