Default fair price for a savage 110 in .223

I'm thinking of selling my Savage 110. It's a pre-Accutrigger gun. Really clean and solid . I think it was a combo. It has a Simmons 3-9 x32 scope and a leather sling that has the Savage logo on it. I can't remember what I paid for it but I have only put 14 rounds through it. When I bought it ,I had thoughts of my son using it when he grows up. Now I think I will give him my CZ and buy another one when the time comes. I thought $425 sounded fair for the gun. Any thoughts? When I bought it I remember thinking it didnt look like the gun had been used much. It still doesnt.

Good luck getting that much out of it.

I'm not trying to be rude, but I'm going to give you my honest opinion.

I don't think it's worth anymore than $250 at most. You might find some sucker willing to pay more, but I kind of doubt it. The reason I say this is Walmart sells the Savage Model 110, or Model 10's depending on the caliber for $387 at my local one and $397 right up the road. This gun has the accu trigger which is very much desired, as well as comes with a sling, and a Simmons 3-9x40 scope. This is brand new. You can pick up used ones for $300 or so fairly often. A local shop had one for $325(or something right around there) just like from Walmart and it had a fairly decent Bushnell 4-12 scope on it instead of the cheap package scope. This shop is also known for being pretty high priced. I've seen a few in the classifieds cheaper.

That being said, those are prices for accu trigger models, and that's a highly desired feature by many. Ones without it don't seem to bring that much which is why I think $250 is on the top end of what you should expect to get.

I didn't think you were rude. I honestly couldn't remember what I payed for the gun. I still may sell it. I have had newer Savage rifles. The quality is much higher on this one. I may keep it. Not sure yet. I really want a CCW pistol. Thanks for the input.

$250.00 tops, that is about all you will get. You can ask more but I doubt you will get it.
