Default Custom rifle build update

I'm now the proud owner of a left handed Stiller Predator magnum action, all the bottom metal, and a Jewell trigger assembly.
The stock will be McMillan, and I'm still deciding on which company to get my barrel from and which caliber I'm going to go with.
7mm. Rem. Mag or .300 Win. Mag.

It's getting exciting now!!!

I like lilja, kreiger is nice but a lil slow and runs more pressure with the same charge due to being cut rifled.
congrats, one of the few benefits of being LH, spend way more money then ya got to have the rifle ya want!when I could afford it I had one built every couple years

.300 Win. Mag.

Can it handle .300 Wby?

I assume Stiller's action could work with the .300 WBY.
He just lists his magnum bolt face as " long" or "short" magnum.
I've had a couple folks ask " why not the .300 WBY"? When I mentioned the .300 Win. Mag. as a possible chioce.
I've never had the opportunity to shoot the WBY. I'm gonna hand over my man card here and say I would be a little worried that I might regret choosing the WBY simply for recoil reasons. I've shot the 7mm. Rem. Mag. extensively and have zero issues with it's level of recoil.
I've only shot the .300 Winny a few times, and while it is a noticeable step up from the 7 mag, I feel confident I could get used to it.
Just don't know how much more of a step up the WBY is.

I'm a fan of Broughton barrels, fast and super easy to clean...

Also a 7mm fan...and Manners stocks...

...... If you can handle the .300 WinMag without problems, you should be able to handle the Wby. OK... When working off the bench, concentrate on the shot and forget about the recoil. Get your eye relief set right... You'll do just fine. My .300 Wby Vanguard is not the brute some think they are... you want recoil? Try a stiff loaded 45/70.... Yikes!!
