Default When did Remington come out with AR style rifles?

I don't know how I missed this, but I see that Remington now has AR15 style rifles for hunting. ARe they any good?

This one looks like it would be good for prairie dogs or coyotes, but nothing bigger than that: http://www.gunshopfinder.com/remingt...-r15-60007.asp

Opinions?

a year or two ago I first saw them...

believe they're made by someone else and labeled Remington...

goto their website...they also have the R25 which chambers larger cartridges, etc..

course if I wanted a semi auto larger cartridge rifle I think I'd just get a browning BAR in like 7mm-08 etc...or whatever really.

R15 in .223 would be great for the coyotes i think though...

the R-15 is a bushmaster, the R-25 is a DPMS, they're all owned by a holding company called Cerebus, they also own marlin and quite a few others.

Ruger, remington, I heard benelli makes/brands one now???

As easy as they are to assmble, and with all the amazing different options out there for building an AR15, buying one doesnt make much sense to me.

They seem pretty $$$$ compared to a Bushy. If they're made by Bushmaster and DPMS why not cut out the middleman and buy from one of those companies?

What's weird is the five shell clips. Is that to keep Obama away?

My Bushmaster Varmiter Special came with a 5 round clip, and I bought it 5 years ago, before Obama. That is just what they come with, I personally have no use for it, other than when shooting on the bench. I have bought several 20 and 30 round clips for it. The 5 round clip is nice when shooting on the benchrest, it doesnt get in the way. I dont know what the Varmiter Specials are going for right now, but I dont think the R-15 costs more, I paid right at $1400 for this one years ago.

The 5 round MAGAZINE is for hunting since in most states its illegal to have more than 5 or 6 rounds for deer hunting. At least it is here in NY, (although im not sure how a 10 shot tubular lever action is legal though??) Actually we cant even have a flash suppressor, or a bayonet lug, or a collapsible stock here.
