Default Browning X-bolt or Tikka T3

I am thinking of getting a 7mm in either Browning X-bolt, 7mm wsm or Tikka t3, 7mm Remington Magnum, i would just like some advise as to which would be better, or should i just forget about the wsm and get either one of them in 7mm Remington Magnum?

Proud owner of a Browning X-bolt, stainless stalker in .338WM and love it.

I also own a Sako A7 stainless in 7MM Rem Mag and love it (almost as much as my X-bolt).

As you might of guessed, I'm going to recommend a 7MM Rem Mag.

you should forget about the 7mm WSM.

but consider the 270wsm or 300wsm!

or the 7mm Rem.Mag.(ballistics of the 270wsm and 7mmRM are essentially matched, and the wsm is short action, beltless)

of the two my vote would be for the Xbolt.

sako a7 is suppose to be coming out with a "A7 tecomate" that looks good.

Having owned a Tikka T3 in 25-06 and currently own a Browning X-Bolt in 270 Win, I'm of the opinion that the Browning is the better rifle. The Tikka is accurate but the quality, fit and finish are not at the same level as the Browning. You can't knock the accuracy of the T3 but my X-Bolt is just as accurate and does not seem to be as picky as the T3.

Some things I really like about the X-Bolt:

1. Excellent user adjustable trigger that is as good as the T3.

2. I love the tang safety with the bolt lock/unlock button.

3. The 60 degree bolt throw is nice.

IMO you can't go wrong with either rifle but I prefer the X-Bolt.

well it seems to me that it would make more sense for me to get the 7mm RM, since i do not reload and would have to buy factory ammo, there is a lot more choices in 7mm RM so i will just have to choose between these two guns.

If you're not a reloader, I'd stay away from all of the WSM's. I own both a Browning and a Tikka. The nicer gun is the Browning, but it cost significantly more. You get what you pay for, but the Tikka is an excellent gun for the money. From what you listed I'd go with the Tikka simply because the Xbolt 7RM comes with a 26" tube, and the Tikka with a 24", and I don't like barrels that long.
