Snap Caps?

I was wondering what type of guns you use snap caps on to relieve the pressure on the spring from it being cocked. I know you use it on break action shotguns but what else. Thanks-Sam

anybody? I want to know so i don' t damage any of my guns over a long term period.

Personally I don' t worry about snap caps. I don' t have any guns that I worry about dry firing. Most modern centerfire arms can be dry fired without damage to the firing pin. If you are worried about it then by all means use a snap cap. Better safe than sorry.
