I have to admit, that's funny. I've been shooting a 280 for about 10 or 12 years now, so that makes it even funnier in my book

It’s a tutorial on how to “try to persuade” someone over to your way of thinking by spitting out tons of technical & historical BS.

The two are the debating the merits of a 338WM vs a 280. It really a spoof type of thing, the 338WM guy is the normal type of gun "expert" (no 1st hand knowledge) that are found on the internet, the the 280 guy is more of the guy who's opinions are based actual experiences.

I'd say they're BOTH actually the typical "internet gun-guru". They both offer speculation on why one companies cartridge under-sold expected numbers (specifically the .280 Remington and the WSSM line). They both make unfounded claims emphasizing moot points, like the importance of the color blue in the visible spectrum of deer, or comparing the .280 rem to a .270 or .30-06.

Personally, comparing the two cartridges is the same arguement as a .308win vs a .243, a 7mm mag vs a .270, a chevy Silverado vs a Ford F-150, Miller light vs Bud light... to each his own... I wouldn't prefer EITHER cartridge for deer, but your mileage may vary...
