Default .300 Mag VS. .308

Okay hunters and shooters
Ive been wondering whats the diffrence between the .308 and the .300 win mag

Is one more powerful? Are they the same as far as balistics? More recoil?

Please help

The 300 win mag has much more recoil, more power and flatter trajectory,

They both utilize the same bullet but the case of a 300 Win Mag holds much more powder

It's a 22 versus a 223.

The case capacity of the 300 WM is about 50% larger that the 308 for starters. The effective is range is about 200 yards further depending on the bullet used, altitude, etc.

Recoil for the 300 is approx 50% higher also.
