.50 cal's are awesome. My bro-in-law has one.

For the un-initiated to the massive .50 cal.... The recoil is like a 12ga shotgun with a slug. But what gets you is the sonic concussion from the blast.

Barrett .50 cal BMG's, Armalite AR-50's, etc... are like an anti-artilliary shell, and when you pull the trigger, it doesn't just go "bang" - it lets out a sonic "BOOM!!" Where anyone standing 10' anywhere around you will feel it in their heart, and resonate all through their body, from the wicked sonic concussion sound!!

But they are cool...

Gotta friend that had a single shot bolt action 50 built when he got back from the war in Iraq. Bout 35lbs. Kicks about like a 243. Bunches of fun to pull the trigger on.
