Default Browning pick up problem

I,ve used my Browning short trac 270 wsm for the 3rd year now .
Very good shooting and light gun .
I,m having a problem but only on the last bullet .
Although I,ve shot a few deer with it , I only had to shoot one time .
This year while in Southern tiere doe and buck hunting I had a chance to bag a couple does .
I shot 2 times at the first doe not realizing I hit it the first time .
I got one shot at the second doe ,
The 270 wsm holds 4 rounds including the one in the chamber .
Well after firing 3 rounds I looked down at my gun and the action was wide open with one live round still in the clip ??
It did this 2 xs while hunting this year ,
Both times I shot 3 times the action staid open and did not pick up the last roud ..
Anyone had this happen or any solutions ??
I,m shooting the winchester supremes 130 grain bullets .

Welcome to the world of Browning short tracks and the WSM cartridges.
Get use to it or get another rifle.

Send it back to Browning or take it to a competent smith. The way it sounds Bigbulls has experience with these short tracks having problems.

Yep. All of the Browning BAR ______ track rifels that I have seen have problems have been with the WSM cartridges. None of the ______ track rifles chambered for any other cartridge has any kind of problem that I have seen.

They get sent back to Browning under warranty and return with the same feeding and ejection problems. Sometimes multiple times. Many times Browning ends up crediting the store for the rifle and the consumer ends up with something else. Seems Browning can't get the short track WSM rifles figured out.

Default Bench tested

I recleaned and lubed my 270 wsm Browning short trac.
Its less then 3 years old .
I hand ejected all 4 rounds a few times and it reloaded all bullets fine .
Only thing I noticed is that if I let the action close with a round in the chamber slowly by hand it hangs up a little less then 1/2" from the end or completly closing .
I f I let it go fast or normal when shooting its fine .
With no bullet in the chamber it slides open and closed very smoothly...

Default Called them

I just got off the phone with Browning.
Of course they wont admit any problems as other mentioned with the wsm calibers .
He very calmly stated to pack it up and send it in and they would lookat at it .
4 to 6 week turn around..
I asked a few other questions and he said very calmly .
Just pack it up and send it in.. AARRGGHH..
Tech support is so great ....
