Default What ammo for 300 WBY Vanguard

So I've tried 7-8 different types of ammo for my 300 WBY Vanguard, and it seems to like 180 gr Core lokt's the best.

Had high hopes for Hornady Ballistic Tips; but they actually turned out to be one of the worst performers.

I'd really like to find something that I can shoot under 1" 100 yd groups with, the corelokt's are just over 1".

If you have a 300 WBY Vanguard, I'd love to hear what your rifle likes best.

PS - This is for deer/elk hunting

Because when I bought it, I could only afford one rifle for both deer and elk and chose to go more to the elk side. Sure, I could've gone with a 30.06; but wanted a little more oomph for the elk.

Next rifle will likely be a 270 for deer.

Have you tried weatherby factory ammo? is that the hornady ballistic tips?

I'd certainly try 180 or 200gr bullets...

I'd hope 180 TSX, nosler partitions, SP, would work...

When I had a 300wby its preference was 200gr bullets. With my best handload my Mark V would barely break 1". The bullet I ran was 200gr NP it wasn't the best grouper at 1.25-1.5" but it performed well on deer to moose.
