Default 700 owners question-----

I have a brand new Remington 700 BDL in 30-06, classy finish, nice wood. This is like the sixth Remmy 700 I've owned and they have all been great guns and accurate without any problems. While looking at some of the guns in my gun cabinet, I noticed that the floorplate on the Remington is off set a little to the left of center in the bottom of the stock, this is looking at it directly from the bottom, making sure that the barrel is centered behind the forend tip so your certain that your seeing the underside straight on. The Browning floor plate next to it and the CZ clip look centered in the bottom of the their stocks. I was hoping some of you other 700 owners would look at yours and see if this is just a design trait of this series or is this one off a little. I haven't even shot the gun yet, but this shoudn't have anything to do with the accuracy. I've had it apart to have a recoil pad installed and the fit and finish is excellent. Please let me know what you find on yours----if I'm nitpicking too much here, say so-----John

Post a picture of it. "Offset a little" could mean different things to different people.
