Mine usually already come with names like Remington 700, Winchester 70, etc...

Perhaps it is a bit juvenile .. but I've ofter referred to my Mauser 98 in .243 as "The Scapel" ... silly, but fun. An older Savage Model 99 is "Gramp's Gun" ...
but none have worn human names like "Butch" or Paul"

Meet "Daisy"...I named her this because she has a Lancaster Daisy patchbox...I made this .54 caliber Lancaster styled flintlock back in the late 80s...

Then, I have "Sweetheart"...She is a .40 caliber custom made flintlock that I bought in 1977...I call her that because she has a weeping heart inlay on the thumb piece...
