Default 7mm-08 or .308 continued... For R-25

I am looking at buying the R-25 by remington. it is offered in .243, 7mm-08, and .308. I hunt deer and hogs. For those who dont know what the r 25 is i is an ar-15 platform rifle. I would like to know what round you would suggest in that rifle.

308. would be my pick, but then I already own one in an Armalite AR-10-A4 carbine.

.308 unless you reload.

The ability to rap off plenty of rounds would get more expensive with the 7mm-08 and factory loads.

With the .308 you could sight in with hunting loads and then buy some cheaper FMj's to go plinking with.

I've got an r-25 in 308. Awesome rifle, and shoots great. Now I just can't wait for hunting season. And if you don't reload, ammo is easier to find.

I would also vote for the .308. Same reasons as above.

I'd go with a DPMS in 260 rem. same gun (DPMS makes the R-25 for remington)same case better bullets.
RR

Oh and the R-25 is the AR-10 platform, the AR-15 is 223 length mag well.

I like the 7mm-08 if you reload, but the 308 if you don't. The lack of bullet choices on the 7mm is the only downside to it.

I don't want to hi-jack the thread but why do you think there is
a lack of bullet choices in the 7mm-08.
