Default O/U shot gun question...

Hello folks,
I was walking around in bass pro yesterday and saw they had used guns on sale for cheap.
I looked through and found an odd looking little critter, a O/U in .410 gauge made by one of those European manufacturers.

Just what purpose could such an animal serve the hunter? Is there some clay pigeon shoot that only allows O/U and .410 gauge shells? I couldn't believe it was seriously aimed at shooting quail or some other small bird but maybe it was.

Could some one shed some light on this? Its really bothering me.

Skeet shooters have a special event with the .410 and most skeet shooters like the O/U

I like them for quail hunting. Light and very easy handling.......

There are a lot of guns I don't like but so what?????.....learn to look for the ones you do like.

The 410 bore is not only very popular on the skeet field but also when hunting small game you intend to eat after you shoot them.

So it does work for the Quail hunting? Wow I thought for sure the .410 would be to small. I guess not. Neat.

My uncle had a single shot 410 ga. He used to use it to take dove. He made the rest of us look pretty sad, every time he squeezed the trigger a bird would come down. He learned to shoot while growing up during the Great Depression, so every shot had to count. In the right hands, don't count out the tiny 410 ga.

.410's and 28's are fantastic for quail. If you hunt pen birds, the .410 leaves a little more for the table. Pen raised tend to be a little slow on the rise.

Any recollection of the manufacturer?
