Default choke tube lube

i recently just bought a mossberg 500 accu choke barrel this is my first barrle that has interchangable ckokes ive always used a fixed choke but i was reading that i should lube the threads but the thing si dont want to spend more money on lube is there anything around the house i could us like vaseline I dont want to screw it up spending $150 is a lot of money for me please help

trust me on this, you have 1 of 3 choices
choke tube lube
breach plug lube
anti-seize compound
you can get antiseize at most hardware stores, probably your cheapest bet.

thanks my dad gave me some teflon thread lube and i tried it i can screw it in with my fingers it goes like hot butter

If this the frist gun you have owned with screw in chokes tubes. You need to make sure the tube is tight in the barrel and check it after shooting a few times. If it works loose you could damage your gun as well as yourself. Just a word of warning. If I were you I would buy a small tube of choke tube lube. It does not cost that much.
