Default Need advice

Hello
I bought a Stainless Ruger Super Blackhawk Hunter .44 mag.
I am a pretty decent shot with the open sights, but i now would like to put a scope on the barrel. I was wondering if anyone has some experienced insight as to which model,type,ect..
Or if a red dot scope is any good. I am wanting to deer hunt with it.
thanks

I have a Ruger Super Redhawk 7-1/2" 44mag. and my Hunting Buddy has the same one you have. We both Have Millet Red Dot scope with 3moa dots on ours. Works good and have not had a problem with them. Alot faster with the red dot then a powered scope. Been accurate for us in hunting situations. Millet Red Dot scopes has held up to stiff 320 WLNGC hard cast handloads at 1331fps.
