I must have nothing but luck also with my 357 batting 2 for 2 on dropping good sized boar in their tracks. The 357 has been so effective, that I was considering using my .40 for the heck of it on my next boar hunt, but I haven't found a factory load that I'm comfortable with yet to use on boar, but there is no doubt that a well placed .40 will take a mature boar.
