Default Sako L691 for custom build...

What do you guys think? Can a L691 handle a 7mm RUM? It's a .270 Win now, so the bolt face would have to be opened up...I'm trying to sell it now to fund a 7mm RUM build off a 700, but it might be better just to build it off the Sako...??

Mmmm, you might be on to something there...that hadn't crossed my mind yet...

I don't mind the Nikon, its actually been a pretty good scope.

What other rings/bases are available? Those came with the rifle so I just ran with it...

I just ordered an inleted McMilliam forest camo for a rem700 LA with DBM he had in leftovers. Hope I like that design. Its one of McMillians HTG. $375 is a heck of a deal.

Dunno how the HTG is different from mine, but I really like the design and feel of this one...

Yea, that too low comb is what I am worried about. Can't return those "specials" either, but I will have to see.

Larry, i suppose you like the HTG. But why do you say the first has way too low comb compared to the rest? Aren't they all the same?
