Default H & R 25-06 Accuracy?

I just bought a H & R 25-06 and was wanting to know what to expect for accuracy.

Flip a coin. You never know with these but usually you can a get a sub par one to shoot decent with a little tinkering. I had one in .280 and could not get it to shoot better than 2" groups even with hand loads. I sold it and moved on.

I own 2 rifle calibers and they are both MOA or less. (.223 and .243) I did send it back to H&R and had the trigger lightened and floated the barrel. (Which consists of rubber o-rings between the barrel and fore stock.

I just bought a 12ga slug barrel for one and it is amazing. I am getting 1 1/2" groups at 100yds with Lightfields. I did have to have a local gunsmith tap it for a scope mount...but otherwise I did nothing to the barrel. That beats the heck out of the $700 11-87 I have that won't stay on a paper plate at 75 yards with a rifled barrel, a $300 scope, and any of the 20 different types of slugs that I tried in it.
