Ok,i decided that i dont need a 7mm for deer huntin. Is this a good rifle?
I dont know of any product browning makes, that is not "good", at least from a quality standpoint. Curious though, why are going to a .30 caliber if you feel the 7mm is not needed?
I bought a used A-bolt '06 in a pawn shop. The most accurate and one of the nicest handling rifles I own. (Of course, I haven't shot my Sako yet, either).
I've got an A-Bolt in 25-06 and .300 Win Mag. Both are "tack drivers." 30-06 is a readily available and proven caliber and you should have great luck with it. I can't say enough good stuff about Browning rifles (or shotguns or pistols!).
had 1 in 280 its is an excellent rifle sub moa ability with good ammo. Mine always shot win ballisitc tips the but give those a try when ur experimenting
Never shot an A-bolt, but just got a X-bolt Stainless Stalker in .338 Win Mag and love it.......................next year I'm headed to Montana.
