Default Pistol question

I've been looking for a pistol I can use as a concealed carry weapon. In the paper there is a Ruger LCP .380 with crimson trace laser, like new in the box with ammunition for $525. I'm thinking about offering $450 or so, what would be a good price?

sounds like a good price but be aware that 380 ammo is tough to come by these days

The local shop by me is selling the LCP for $269 new. Im not sure what the laser sells for new but Im guessing around $200ish. So if its in excellent condition I would say $450 is an ok deal. Not knowing how much ammo is included.

Although it's certainly better than nothing, I'd prefer something larger than a .380 for CCW. As a matter of fact, I recently acquired a 3" Ruger SP101 in .357 mag which is a great carry gun.

.......I guess it's all a matter of opinion and preference. Personally, I think that little Ruger is one fine CCW piece, and the.380 has plenty of power to do the job. After all, we're not talking about target shooting at 25 or more yds. The gun is most likely going to be needed in very up close and personal situations.

I woild have no qualms about that piece...in fact, my favorite CCW is a S&W Sigma in .380.

Hey, Picked up a used SP101 at a Gander Mountain two years ago for around $200. 2 1/4 barrel .38 cal. Great CCW and all you need. Here is a site for you to take a peek. Have a great day.

Id sell you my glock and that holster im selling for carry. for $400 its a glock 23 .40s&w with an Uncle Mikes Dual retentional Holster. Ill include the original paperwork lock and 2 magazines. And I have only put about 150 rounds through my glock. For $400 thats a good deal. And just have to get the sale done and get the FFL dealer address where you are and ill have my FFL dealer send it to you. And the glock is by far a more reliable and more powerful carry then a .380. But just an option.

Here's my 02.
I don't care what you buy, 38, 380, 45, 454 or a howitzer. But make sure it's something you're gonna be comfortable carrying everyday.
I've got a Makarov with a small of back holster. I've got (2) 45 1911s with IWB holsters and hip holsters. I've got an Sp101 with a hip holster. I've got a Ruger Blackhawk in 45lc and S&Ws in 357 and 44 mag.
But you know what I carry every day? Every Single day? A little KelTec P32 in a pocket holster. Because it's the one gun that I can carry every day of the week and it doesn't get in my way.
Carrying concealed is a great thing. It's also a great burden and you have to really be commited to it. I find it very hard to commit to it when I'm always uncomfortable. The P32 solved that problem for me.
You on the other hand may find that you're very comfortable wearing a fullsize 45. Just make sure that's the case before you spend a big chunk of change on something that you're gonna pack around from now on.
